Gerade gesehen, auf dem Mozilla-Server wurde Thunderbird 78.10.2 vor wenigen Stunden abgelegt. Ich habe aber noch nicht nachgeschaut, was gefixt wurde.

Die Liste ist vermutlich genauso lang wie bei Firefox 78 auf 91 - was andere alle 4 Wochen in Teilen bekommt, wird hier in einem Rumms geliefert. Wenn wie bei Firefox die ESR noch knapp 4 Monate Updates bekommt, dann kann man sich mit einem Testprofil an die v91 gewöhnen, auch bei Thunderbird: 78.13.0 vs 91.0

Trotzdem bin ich auf Outlook angewiesen um Serienmails mit Word zu versenden.
Thunderbird ist bei IMAP und großen Postfächer super. Aber irgendwie kommt die Integrationsfähigkeit mit anderen Systemen nicht vorran. Kein CRM System unterstützt es.
Es gibt auch kein Scriptsystem wies Outlook hat. Die Addons sind alle Spielereien oder inkompatibel.
Aber für IMAP und große Postfächer super ^^

muss ich auf der Arbeit allerdings auch nutzen. Natürlich ist der Funktionsumfang von Outlook gewaltig, allerdings
dadurch auch völlig unübersichtlich. Kaum einer kennt auch nur im Geringsten die Möglichkeiten von Outlook.
Vom Server Modul und seiner Administration mal ganz abgesehen... Stängig treten iregendwelche Probleme auf.
Thunderbird funktioniert für den normalen Gebrauch doch ganz gut und ist zudem auch doch gratis, es sei denn,
man spendet etwas.

Ich habe die Portable Version und habe das Update ganz normal über die interne Updateroutine gestartet.
Klappt prima.
Ansonsten so wie gewohnt, den Profile Ordner sichern und später wieder in die Ordnerstruktur reinkopieren.

Also über die Updatefunktion wird mir noch meine 78.13 als aktuell angezeigt 😕
PS: Hab es jetzt manuell drübergebügelt. Alle Einstellungen blieben erhalten. Ich musste nur die Sprache nachinstallieren.
Wie stelle ich Thunderbird denn so ein, dass es (minimiert) mit Windows startet?

Beim Übergang von einem "ESR"-Zweig zum Nächsten (hier 78 auf 91) sind beide Versionen für eine Zeit aktiv und die alte Version wird eine zeitlang nicht automatisch auf die neue Version upgraded sondern nur in der installierten Version updated..

Leg dir einen Link auf die Thunderbird.exe an und packe den in den Autostart-Ordner, in den Eigenschaften da Starten = "Minimiert".
