ich krieg sie da nicht geladen ... kommt 404.
Habe meine portable von release auf beta umgestellt.

Geht leider nicht, deshalb lade ich mir mal die beta u installiere sie .... orrrr

Die 68.3.0 ist bereits im Candidates Status, wird also wohl noch diese Woche final. Die höheren Versionen münden ja vom Beta Status in die mit an das LTS-Versions-Schema angelehnten Release-Versionen.

Ich nutze selbst kein TB, aber man hat mich gefragt, wie man als "wichtig" markierte Mails (bzw mit Priorität) vorm Löschen ausnehmen könnte. Früher gab es eine Erweiterung, die konnte Farbe und so und verhinderte das Löschen. Mit v68 scheint die nicht mehr zu funktionieren, ich dachte immer, das wäre mit eine Grundfunktion von Mailern, hat TB sowas wirklich nicht?

Man kann E-Mails mit einer Kennzeichnung markieren (Stern). Dann kann in den Eigenschaften des Papierkorbes, beim jeweiligen E-Mail Konto, im Reiter Speicherplatz festlegen, das diese markierten E-Mail nicht gelöscht erden. Diese Einstellung ist unabhängig von den anderen Optionen.

Ich habe die ganze Sache, was wichtige E-Mails betrifft, mittels Filter gelöst. Dazu habe ich mir in der E-Mail Ordner Struktur Ordner angelegt. Dann werden schon beim Empfang per Filterregel, die E-Mails sortiert. Wenn man die Filteroptionen einmal verstanden hat, ist das eine super Sache.

Neuinstallation und alles neu einrichten kann es ja nicht sein.......

Profilübernahme funktioniert ganz gut, bis auf die guten alten vertrauten Addons natürlich.
Da wird man sich umorientieren müssen oder eben auf Updates warten........

Hallo,

ich wollte heute Nacht auf einem neuen Laptop Thunderbird installieren und obwohl ich die richtigen Daten eingegeben habe, konnte TB keine Verbindung zum Server aufbauen. Ich dachte, ich hätte irgend etwas übersehen und habe es eben nochmal versucht, aber es geht nicht. Ich musste die 68er installieren, die funktioniert. Beim Drüberbügeln von 78 geht wieder nichts. Ich muss daher vorerst bei 68 bleiben.

Hallo,

Fehlermeldung beim Versuch das Konto anzulegen lautete (ungefähr, habe den Wortlaut nicht mehr exakt im Kopf): Thunderbird konnte keine Verbindung mit dem Server herstellen.

Ist mir aber auch nicht so wichtig, wollte das hier nur Festhalten als Erfahrungswert. Mir reicht die 68er-Version.

gmail, hotmail, outlook? Welcher Server? Nun lass dir doch nicht alles aus der Nase ziehen. Kann auch an einem Zertifikat scheitern. Die 68er läuft ja noch bis 68.2, dann wird v78 als Zwangsupdate geladen, also 3 Monate - nur noch.

Bei mir läuft Thunderbird 80.0b2 64-Bit - "Sie sind derzeit auf dem Update-Kanal beta".
Weil ich auf automatische Updates eingestellt habe, merke ich von dem Ganzen nix - sonst wär's mir lästig.
Bessere Alternative für Thunderbird sehe ich nicht, also lass ich's am Rechner.
Der Feuerfuchs hat schon längst Opera weichen müssen ...

Ich habe heute auf meinem Win10 Home 64 Bit, das Update von 68.12. auf 78.2.2 (64 Bit) gemacht. Soweit passt alles, meine Daten, sowie die NextCloud Kalender wurden einwandfrei übernommen.

Aaaaaber, WER hat ein solches grottiges Design für die Icons und Ordner verbrochen? Von passablen UI gaaaanz weit weg, das geht doch dar nicht. Ich hatte im 68er und Vorgänger, ein Phoenity Iconset. Das ist leider nicht mehr kompatibel. Mal sehen ob ich da einen Ersatz finde, oder ich klöppel mir dann selbst was zusammen.

Ich finde es viel schlimmer, daß das Addon "AutoZoomer" nicht mehr funktioniert. Da ich nur in Reintext schreibe und empfange bedeutet es bei jedem Programmstart 5x <STRG><*>.
im Verfassen-Fenster dann dasselbe. DAS NERVT UNGEMEIN.
Warum man sowas nicht als Option im Programm selber einstellen kann - rätselhaft.....
Vielleicht erbarmt sich der Addon-Programmieren ja noch einmal.......

Die Rechenpower muss ja für was verbraucht werden damit du noch mehr power brauchst.
Erst Gaaaanz viel pixel machen und alles gaaanz klein (Mehr Pixel verkauft sich auch besser). Quadrieung der nötigen Power. Dann alles wieder hoch zoomen damit du wieder was erkennst. Nochmals Power verschwendet.

Entschuldigung, aber hat jemand zufällig den "Thunderbird 82.x" gesehen? Bei uns wurde in der Firma ein Client mit Thunderbird auf diese Version versehentlich upgedatet, und die Optik ist seitdem grauenhaft, UND bei diversen Zertifikaten diverser Mailserver zickt er aber ordentlich !! Ein Graus ! (meiner bescheidenen Meinung nach)...
